Warehouse Manager

Adecco Direct Hire Search is seeking a 1 st shift Warehouse Manager for our client locating in Port Reading, NJ. Our client, and Logistics and Distribution, company recently opened their doors in 2020. Despite the pandemic the company has seen enormous growth! We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded resulting in increased market share.
Primary role and responsibilities:

• The direct supervision and training of personnel involved in shipping, receiving, warehousing materials handling, packaging, and light assembly work.

• Working with warehouse staff to improve individual and group performance.

• Physical control of inventory locations.

• Control of, and improvements to, the physical facilities to improve individual and division productivity.

• Training new warehouse staff.

• Accurately communicating goals and objectives of the department.

• Help warehouse personnel stay focused.

• Ensure timely and efficient movements of product within the facility.

• Ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the warehouse.

• Work with management to ensure that all records and reports regarding warehouse activity are prepared on a timely basis and effectively maintained.

Preferred skills:

• Ability to organize and supervise the work of other warehouse and logistic staff.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Highly effective management skills and techniques

• Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency

• Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data

• Hands-on commitment to getting the job done

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Exemplary customer service skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in warehouse operations.

• Valid Driver’s license

• High school or GED

• Forklift Certification
