The Sr.
Manager of Journey and Audience Strategy is a member of the Customer Marketing Platforms team, responsible for maximizing customer marketing results from our digital marketing, best in class personalization, and marketing innovation efforts, driving a customer-centric culture and ways of working across Walgreens Marketing teams.
Responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with Brand and channel partners to drive audience strategy and planning across owned and paid channels for marketing activation, outlines desired customer journeys for key audiences / segments based on understanding of a target audience’s needs, pain points, or gaps across the customer experience lifecycle.
Serves as a key liaison with adjacent partners (beyond Marketing) including Global Insights, Customer Experience, Digital Product, and IT functions within Walgreens, helping to ensure that customer data, analytics, and marketing requirements are appropriately surfaced and prioritized for marketing activation and enablement.
Partners closely with marketing channel experts to maximize integration and effectiveness of marketing activation.
Job Responsibilities: * Champions a customer-first marketing culture that helps ensure WAG marketing strategies are centered around customer needs, behaviors, motivations, research, and data-driven insights.* Spearheads customer marketing journeys and preferred path to purchase for Walgreens’ most complex, transformational marketing campaigns and programs, articulating which messaging, content, channels they will be most receptive to within a particular stage in the journey.* Leads and guides the development of addressable audience strategies leveraging 1st party and 3rd party data to support cross channel activation of Walgreens marketing campaigns.* Oversees the creation of customer-led, lifecycle marketing use cases and journeys to prioritize, inform, and scale personalization capabilities to meet 3YP Marketing goals.* Contributes to delivery of hyper-personalized customer experiences which leverage and expand progressive profiling capabilities and increase usage / application of 1st party data across all channels.* Serves as an advisor and advocate for the solutions designed by the Customer Marketing Platforms team with our global Marketing, Product, Digital Commerce, and IT partners.* Collaborates with Brand, Media, and Channel teams to plan and activate audience-led marketing opportunities to achieve annual business and customer growth targets .* Oversees development of audience and program level learning agendas which drive prioritization of test and learn opportunities and planning cycles with Global Insights & Analytics partners .* Responsible for navigating and balancing priorities across multiple stakeholder constituencies, understanding and effectively representing Customer Marketing Platforms strategic requirements and objectives within enterprise initiatives.* Shares information with cross-functional partners and Marketing leaders to continuously improve audience planning processes.
Interacts with direct reports and peers in management / customers / vendors to share information and improve cross-departmental processes.* Ensures ongoing training and development of direct reports.
Develops and mentors staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities, and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.
