About The Role
RepresentUs is seeking qualified candidates for a remote Video Writer/Director.
This is a short-term contract position expected 20-40 hours a week for 3-4 months.
We are open to candidates for short-term employment as well as vendors who wish to contract to provide these services.
While the position is remote, the candidate must be based in the United States.
Reporting to the Creative Producer, the Video Writer/Director is a jack-of-all trades filmmaker who will ensure we produce incredible, attention-grabbing videos that are delivered on brand and on time.
They will be responsible for writing, directing, and, in some cases, editing and coordinating with production houses.
The ideal candidate has experience in ad writing, on-set directing, and an impeccable sense of how to make a video that can reach wide audiences based on the strength of its content alone.
What You’ll Be Doing
Developing and writing original video scripts Managing and directing film shoots (can possibly be done remotely, depending on the shoot) Identifying and kicking off projects with production houses Editing video when necessary
Skills and Experience
Expert ability to craft powerful, viral content that is strategic and brand-aligned Able to direct talent and crew to produce incredible video content Expert editing skills and proficiency with Adobe Premiere and post-production coordination Highly organized: Must be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously The contract will run March 5 – May 31, 2021.

Compensation: $45-65/hr depending on experience, location, and employee vs.
contractor designation.
