You’ve moved past the idea that Digital marketing is an isolated department or function, and rather think of it as a discipline that permeates every element of today’s modern marketing organization.
As the VP, Web and Digital Services at VMware, you will be a thought leader and evangelist for the power and possibility of digital marketing strategies and capabilities that drive quality web traffic, shape brand perception through the power of narrative and content experience, build demand and pipeline, and drive SaaS learn-try-buy transactions.
Your role will provide you ownership for a portfolio of channels and platforms (Web, Email, SEO, Organic Social, Community, Blogs), as well as VMware’s Martech.
Additionally, you’ll be a leader for VMware’s digital marketing transformation initiative that empowers partner teams such as Demand Generation, Growth Marketing, and Customer Success to drive rewarding outcomes for customers and growth for VMware.
You will have the opportunity to flex your muscles in digital strategy, operations, and execution, while also bringing in strategic direction and best practices that propel VMware forward as a leader in SaaS digital marketing.

The VP, Web and Digital Services will report to Carol Carpenter, VMware’s CMO, and will participate in a leadership team that embraces a “one team” philosophy with a focus on outcomes and continuous improvement.
You will lead an established team with a strong, close-knit culture spanning employees and contractors with the largest hubs in the US and India, with additional team members in other countries throughout AMER, APJ and EMEA.
The expectation is that you will help the team blaze a new trail through a hyper-focus on SaaS transformation and related competency development.
This is a great opportunity for someone who likes to build on top of an already strong base and is energized by change and business transformations.
Where is this role located?
Flexible: The location of this role is flexible but ideally this executive will be based on West Coast, US – Pacific Standard time.
