Job Purpose: Viking Enterprise Solutions is looking for a highly skilled and motivated sales leader with a proven track record of growing a business.
This key individual will be part of the division’s executive leadership team and will be responsible for developing differentiation using sales strategies and development both organically and inorganically.
This position will drive all aspects of our sales direction and strategy with the goal of expanding customer breadth, revenue, profitability, and market share.
This role requires creativity, demonstrated leadership skills and some level of product awareness.
Working closely with our division leadership team, including product marketing, product management, and engineering, the sales leader is responsible for creating and executing a winning strategy to drive growth at a level greater than the market.
The individual will develop a strategic sales plan and develop clear action plans to successfully execute to.
The successful candidate will positively influence our sales efforts through market research, customer engagement analysis, and technology direction.
The successful candidate will identify, evaluate and prioritize opportunities and help focus the team in pursuit of the most attractive initiatives.
Additionally, he or she will help expand the Viking Enterprise Solutions ecosystem by extending the brand to emerging markets and across new technology and application partnerships.
The successful candidate will use their market knowledge to identify additional industry partners and alliances for technology development.
This candidate will drive the customer proposal process to successful completion, all in close partnership with Viking Enterprise Solutions colleagues around the world.
Job Responsibilities: Creating and executing a winning sales strategy to grow the business profitably.
Leads a team of sales professionals and coordinates the team’s focus on meeting our growth goals.
Develops an annual sales plan that defines actions and owners to meet the financial targets set in the division.
Work closely with engineering teams with the division as well as with the customers to be able to talk about product features and benefits in the storage and data management market.
Make recommendations to potential new markets we should serve that align with our offerings.
Instill a cadence with the sales team that is consistent and delivers results.
Have the ability to create thoughtful presentations both internally and externally to convincingly tell the applicable story.
Ensure our customer satisfaction exceeds expectations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
