About the Role

Fast-paced and growing MGA specializing in franchised auto dealer package insurance seeks experienced Garage Underwriting professional.

The VP of Garage Underwriting will provide leadership in the overall execution of the strategy for the garage business including the performance management of team members to achieve both individual and team goals.

Duties & Responsibilities
Be informed/knowledgeable of industry issues and activities Actively participate in continuous improvement Coach, mentor, and train junior level underwriters to advance their underwriting knowledge and grow their book of business Manage the portfolio profitability and identify favorable and unfavorable business Meet/exceed production, profitability, and service targets Ensure that the team gathers underwriting information to properly evaluate risks for acceptability within company guidelines
Skills & Experience
10+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience 5+ years of experience with garage and dealership accounts Advanced-level knowledge of insurance products/coverage, market segment, and garage/dealer marketplace Demonstrated ability to establish and build healthy working relationships, lead mentoring relationships, and provide coaching to staff
$150,000 to $200,000.
