Vice President of Product Management

Carrier Enterprise, LLC

This is a Contract position in Las Animas, CO posted November 20, 2021.

Carrier Enterprise has an opportunity for an experienced leader who is looking to be a crucial member of the leadership team for a large heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) Distribution Company.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and demonstrated performance history in the HVAC industry, ideally in product management or in a specialized sales strategy.

This position is a Vice President of Product Management in our CE Mid-South Region.

This position will be in our Mid-South Headquarters location Memphis, TN.

The Vice President of Product Management is a key member of the region’s senior executive team, reporting to the region President.

The position will be responsible for product assortment; programs/promotions; product pricing; vendor negotiations; product training; monitoring, tracking, and analyzing product performance; product SKU maintenance; and managing NPI (new product introduction).

The Vice President of Product Management will be responsible for managing one or more product sectors and oversee two Product Managers who will each oversee a product sector.

Sectors include commercial & residential; wholesale; and ancillary-IAQ, eTAC, Ductless, VRF and generators.

Responsibilities include: Develop and maintain sales strategy with regional representatives for all product offerings (Residential, Commercial, Ductless/VRF, Wholesale (Parts & Supplies)) for all sales channels.

Interface with Carrier Enterprise HQ Product Manager on company initiatives, sales strategy, industry trends, local requirements, and support, etcetera.

Evaluate competitive product and pricing data.

Communicate with factory and sales teams on advantages and disadvantages, product gaps and voice of customer.

Develop, implement, and manage all faucets of new product introduction from pricing, marketing, PIM coordination, to sales force training, product roll-out and inventory planning.

Recommend sell price positioning (max and min) to maximize market share and company profit margins.

Coordinates with Carrier Corp Regional Product Specific Sales Manager activities with sales team.

Support Carrier Enterprise sales teams in all customer channels with joint customer sales calls.

Provide SKU and sales data to CE HQ Product Manager so they can ensure proper replacement parts inventory.

Coordinate and provide sales forecasting support data to local and HQ Inventory Planning manager to ensure proper product specific equipment inventory.

Provide oversight for overall regional product specific Market Funds in conjunction with the CE HQ Marketing department.

Develop, implement, and manage internal, external and factory marketing programs in conjunction with both Carrier Enterprise HQ and Regional Marketing Directors.

Provide oversight on all products for CE Regional Quarterly business reporting for share-holder review.

Provide oversight on all products for CE Regional monthly sales reporting to Carrier Enterprise sales leadership and Carrier Corporation.

Facilitate, provide oversight for internal and external products sales and application training.

Support Plan & Spec and Project regional teams in reviewing plan and spec materials and positioning for all Carrier/Bryant/Payne products, and Parts and Supplies Provide oversight and Facilitate Technical Service insight and project resolution.

Support Technical Service team as needed in managing/communicating service bulletins.

Manage model supersedes, new SKU set up and SKU designation.

Support Regional sales team with written updates and direction on product and promotional materials.

Manage repository of product and parts and supplies, sales and pricing information to be accessible by all sales team channels.

Provide direction and guidance on industry trends impacting inventory requirements to Carrier Enterprise Regional Inventory Planning team and Carrier Corporation as necessary.

Provide oversight and assist regional sell-through and disposition of all products, parts and supplies ESD.

Evaluate, understand, communicate, and manage State, Local and Utility rebates impacting all products, parts, and supplies segment.

All other duties as directed by Carrier Enterprise Regional Leadership team.
