About this role.

We are adding to our staff and looking for a Back-Office Manager who is bright and articulate and has a sense of humor.

Ideal candidates must have excellent problem-solving skills; bring a high degree of attention to detail; and possess strong organizational, managerial, and analytical skills.

This position offers a great opportunity to work for a growing investment management firm.

The role requires strong analytical and communication capabilities, robust Excel skills, the capacity to resolve conflicts, and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

The ideal candidate should be able to champion the firm’s values while ensuring that strategic goals for the department are aligned with business goals..

Key responsibilities.

Manage the billing cycle from invoice creation through payment receipt..

Process any fee updates and refunds as needed..

Oversee several key operational administrative tasks including proxy voting, statement downloads, and task management for external requests..

Respond to various external and client requests in a timely and professional manner..

Ensure that all internal deadlines are met as required on a monthly or quarterly basis..

Streamline department processes to maximize efficiency while limiting potential errors..

Develop, document, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures..

Monitor, evaluate, and document the performance of direct reports.

Establish performance improvement plans as needed..

Maintain staff on an ongoing basis by recruiting and training employees..

Perform other duties as assigned..

Qualifications.

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, math, finance, or a related field..

Five to eight years of relevant work experience at an investment management firm..

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel..

Billing and task management experience..

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks..

Strong verbal and written communication skills..

Organizational skills to manage people, data, projects, and processes..

Knowledge of financial markets and Salesforce a plus..
