University of IdahoAssistant Vice President, Alumni RelationsLocation: MoscowDivision/College: University Advancement (Div)Employee Category: ExemptPay Range: $99,985 per year or higher depending on education and experienceFull/Part Time: Full TimePosition Summary:The Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations leads and administers the Office of Alumni Relations and all affiliated organizations while also serving as the Executive Director of the University of Idaho Alumni Association.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive group of alumni programs that enhances and expands the University’s relationship with its alumni by engaging alumni in quality programs and networking, and strategically directing and managing the Office of Alumni Relations staff.

The Assistant Vice President administers the University of Idaho Alumni Association, the Retirees Association and the Student Alumni Relations Board.

The Assistant Vice President is a member of the University’s advancement leadership team and maintains strong relationships with university alumni and leaders throughout the state and region and represents alumni in the university community.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree from an accredited institution5 years management experience to include budgeting and supervision of personnelExperience recruiting, training, motivating and organizing the activities of volunteers1 year experience in a leadership role in either a non-profit or higher education organizationExperience developing, implementing and assessing strategic plansPreferred Qualifications:University of Idaho alumnus/naExperience in a complex higher education environmentFamiliarity with strategic enrollment or career services or closely related fieldFamiliarity with University of Idahos history and traditions, as well as awareness of Idaho higher education issues and challengesFamiliar with state of Idaho, the history, social and cultural histories and issues on a statewide basisDemonstrated verbal and written communications skills that inspires, calls to action, and engagesHigh degree of initiative and interpersonal skillsFamiliarity with uses of and opportunities afforded by technology in alumni and advancement programsPhysical Requirements & Working Conditions:Posting Number: SP002994PPosting Date: 08/30/2021Closing Date:Open Until Filled: YesSpecial Instructions:To be considered your Letter of Qualification must address each of the required qualifications.
