Responsible for reviewing analytical models or reasoning in support of the company's underwriting risk management effort.
Responsibilities:
Review underwriting data and methodology, quantify risk, and act upon information gathered and partner with the first line to find solutions to identified risk issues.
Lead projects and/or represent the risk function for committees; provide opinion on issues based on independent analysis and insight.
Serve as a subject matter expert to help functional area managers understand and act upon identified risks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in data science/mathematics, engineering, science or other quantitative field
Six years of experience in underwriting risks, data analytics/science, statistics or related area, or four years of experience with advanced degree
Strong analytical and data skills
Ability to understand complex problems and frame appropriate questions
Ability to present and interact with various levels of management
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a quantitative field
Relevant professional certifications
Working Conditions:
Commuting Remote employees will need to report to a Company office location at times, but will perform their work primarily remotely.

Compensation:
The salary for this position generally ranges between $117,000-$193,000.
This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
Bonus Eligibility:
This position is also typically eligible for an annual bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at Company Discretion at a rate of 20%.
