Position: Manager of Credit/ Legal/ PersonnelJapanese Speaker is big plus!!JOB SUMMARYThe Manager is responsible for all functions and activities relating to the extension of credit and Accounts Receivable risk mitigation.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for the liaison for necessary legal support.ORGANIZATIONAL STATUSThis position reports to CFO.WORKING RELATIONSHIPSInternal Relationships* Communicate and enforce corporate policy objectives, which have been developed in order to safeguard the Company?s investment in A/R, maximize trading transactions to credit worthy customers, and minimize delayed payments and bad debt losses* Manage credit related activities at all levels of the corporate structure to enforce the above objectives.

Developing an in-depth knowledge of relevant industries and commodities that the credit manager is responsible for are critical.* Work with Trade Dept., Legal Dept.
and customer to obtain security documents, such as L/C?s, Corporate Guarantees, security agreements and UCCs when appropriate.
This step is critical to mitigate credit risk, and requires an effective level of communication with the departments noted, along with branches and subsidiary companies with which the credit manager closely interacts.
Cooperate with the above teams to resolve problems with secured accounts as they arise or when requested.Credit Security* Obtain security documents and review with Trade and Legal Depts.
for applicability / enforceability* File (and renew) UCC Filings in order to protect our inventory stored at a customer?s warehouse.Credit Insurance* When requested, provide guidance during credit insurance policy negotiations to help ensure that the best possible credit insurance policy terms and conditions are achieved.* When necessary, submit customer names to insurance company for approval & discuss outcome with underwriters, if necessary* When necessary, assist Trade Dept.
in complying with customer reporting requirements as per the insurance policy, such as overdue status and adverse information.Credit Monitoring Daily:* Identify and monitor high risk customers to prevent problem accounts and bad debts.* Monitor changing economic and business conditions in the industries and commodities related to business operations.As Necessary:* Assist Trade Dept.
and Collections representative in pursuing collections of accounts as may be required* Assist in resolving Over-Lines and No-Lines.* Schedule credit dept.
