You will perform duties to identify, advocate and pursue business development opportunities/strategies.
In this role you are the front line force with respect to customer contact, coordination, and correspondence.
You will monitor and analyze sales and marketing activity against goals.
This position typically works under limited supervision and direction.
Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Be a part of the revenue generation team responsible for exponential growth in new territories and products.Develop strong product knowledge and promote our solutions to a client base of municipal, county and state transportation agencies as well as transportation consultants.Ensure customer relations are strengthened, and new relationships developed and fostered.Identify opportunities to increase value to assigned customers.Research and follow-up on potential projects and sales leads.Review and prepare solutions through bids and quotations.Negotiate sales contracts.Provide technical product presentations and demonstrations.Account and Customer Relationship Management.Participate at trade shows, conferences and local professional associations events.Minimum Job Requirements: Four-year college degree in engineering, management, or marketing.
Civil, Electrical or Traffic Engineering degree a plus8 years experience in a sales/marketing position5+ years’ experience and relationship building in the Intelligent Transportation Systems industry is highly desirable7+ years’ experience in a senior sales role selling technical enterprise software/hardware solutions to the public sector or SCADA systems/Oil & Gas industry experience will also be consideredExperience in business development/sales with the engineering community; traffic/transportation industry experience is desirableExperience developing technical hardware/software specifications through a consultative process with public agencies and consultantsSuccessful track record with quota attainmentMust be able to travel as requiredAble to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks and work under deadlinesThe description provided above is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties, responsibilities and requirements.
