POSITION DESCRIPTION:Manages the employees and day to day activities of Beverage Department.
Ensures beverage quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
Assists in the overall coordination of the bar operations (to include Bartenders, Barbacks, Stock Clerks, and Beverage Servers).
Assists in planning and maintaining production.
Monitoring and reviewing information from supplies, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.

These include, but are not limited to the following: Embodies Traditions Spirits’ Core Values, Mission and Vision StatementsCommunicates regularly with Senior Managers and Directors the activities of the bar and its employees to include written reports of the activities.Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding beverage preparation and serving, and building maintenance in bar facilitiesOrganize and direct worker training programs, resolve personnel problems, and evaluate employee performanceInvestigate and resolve complaints regarding beverage quality, guest service, or facility cleanlinessKeep records required by government agencies regarding sanitation, and food or drink subsidies when appropriateArrange for equipment maintenance and repairs, and coordinate a variety of services such as waste removal and pest controlAssess staffing needs and communicates accordingly.Maintain minimum standards for employee performance and guest serviceMaintain beverage and equipment inventories, and keep inventory recordsMonitor employee and guest activities in order to ensure liquor regulations are obeyedPerform some preparation or service tasks such as preparing drinks, clearing bar, and serving drinks when necessary Present bills, accept payments, operate cash registerPrepare cash receipts after establishments close, and make bank depositsCheck identification of guests in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcoholAttempt to limit problems and liability related to guests excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated guestsSchedule and receive beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents in order to verify product quality and quantitySchedule and/or monitor staff hours and assign dutiesExplain how various drink menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and mixing methodsMaintain personal health and sanitation standards (wash hands after using restroom, etc.)Review work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance, and/or safety.Maintain complete, accurate and consistent record keeping of the company’s attendance point system.Record all attendance issues for all Bartenders and Barbacks in the Digital Logbook.Maintain bar Beverage and dry goods pars at all times.Insure proper training is conducted to all new team members.
Follow the training program.Month end inventory.Team member relations, maintain a highly motivated team through team work and adequate communication.Energized and well thought out pre-shifts.Adherence with health code and safety policies.

Manage the floor in addition to the Bar area and back of the house on daily bases.

Compliance with Accounting policies and procedures.Ensure the over/short policy is adhered to and properly documented according to standard operating procedureVerify and ensure all opening and closing checklists are followedAbility to work different shifts (AM, PM and Mid shifts)Capable of performing opening and closing financial and administrative duties.
Responsible for reporting all employee/guest incidents/accidents according to standard operating proceduresEnsure that the Beverage servers are reporting tips in Paycom on daily basisAttend weekly Managers’ Meetings when possible.OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:NOTE: These include, but are not limited to the following (additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary): Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in personPerforming day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperworkAssist with special projects as neededRecruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, promoting, and terminating employeesUniforms and/or clothing should always be “on stage clean”Create and support an environment of “Teamwork” by helping a fellow employee or guest, without a second thoughtSuperior attendance and punctualityAttendance in mandatory meetings, training, workshops, and/or seminarsAdhere to organization policies and procedures REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE): Bachelor’s degree in area of specialty, desired, but not required, with a minimum of 3 years relevant experienceMust be 21 years of age or olderKnowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resourcesKnowledge of principles and processes for providing guest and personal services; this includes guest needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of guest satisfactionPerforming for people or dealing directly with the public.
