As a Engineering Documentation Manager, you will support Engineering team by managing and controlling all creation, distribution and retention of all Engineering controlled documentation.Timpte is celebrating 135 years in business and currently employs over 400 employees in 6 states across the Midwest. Manages Engineering documentation systems: a. Bill of Material Structure b. Product Structure c. ECR/ECN Process d. Material Disposition e. Product Configurator f. Option Indexes g. Others as identified by management2. Manages and leads Engineering Documentation staff.3. Insures completeness and accuracy of the bills of materials and product data.4. Cross functional communication of all Engineering documentation processes i.E. Purchasing, Accounting, Sales, Manufacturing Engineering, CSCs, TPC, etc.5. Develops strategies and systems to improve accuracy, clarity and efficiency of Engineering Controlled documentation process.6. Researches, defines and recommends product structure and configuration strategies with the ultimate goal of allowing salesmen to configure trailers at point of sale.Qualifications/Requirements for this job:1. Must possess a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in a related role.2. Must have experience with a product configurator.3. Must have supervisory experience.4. Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written format.5. Strong computer skills, including experience with various database programs and technical software including Solid Works/CAD, ERP/MRP software and the MS Office suite of programs.6. Must be able to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
