Technical Project Manager

Latitude, Inc

This is a Full-time position in Washington, DC posted January 25, 2022.

What will you be engaged in day-to-day?

Developing a strategic, long-term vision and work plans, including scheduled milestones, to fulfill contractual requirements on the assigned project.
Acting as a business leader responsible for managing projects throughout the system delivery lifecycle.
Building strong client relationships through prompt responses to client requests and proactively presenting status reports and managing expectations for client and management review, including informing senior management if potential sources of difficulty may arise.

Presenting solutions and ideas to internal and external stakeholders in a way that establishes rapport, is persuasive, and gains understanding.
Managing technology, and systems development operations and evaluate them according to established goals.
Devising and establishing methods, IT policies and systems to support the implementation of IT projects, programs and strategies set by upper management.
Analyzing the business requirements of all functional departments, and client project requests to determine their priorities and technology needs.
Coordinating IT managers and supervising computer scientists, technicians and other professionals to provide innovative technical solutions.
Applying knowledge of principles of computer and information science to the advancement of life sciences research, regulatory operations, and public health, including using expertise to manage the development of an informatics strategy, technical and business requirements, semantics and harmonization, scientific computing, computational science, and specific data type expertise.
Communicating and meeting frequently with staff to assign work, monitor performance, conduct quality assurance reviews, offer technical expertise and ensure technical accuracy of all deliverables to optimize schedules, budgets and quality of work.
Overseeing all financial responsibility for the project including maintaining the project budget, schedules, and staff levels to ensure adherence to contract requirements and identifying any issues that may affect project performance.

Collaborating with other project managers to ensure adequate staffing across all teams.
Preparing and conducting performance evaluations, including providing guidance to staff on their quality and quantity of work performed.

Coaching team members on how to improve their performance and grow professionally.

Handling performance issues and corrective actions including ensuring that company policies, procedures, and practices are followed.
Participating in the hiring process, including reviewing resumes, interviewing and onboarding new team members, as needed.
Engaging in new business development and seeking new business opportunities in technical areas of expertise.

Analyzing requests for proposals and participating in preparing proposals for new business.

Supporting proposal and business development activities.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00
– $150,000.00 per year

Education:
Bachelor’s (Preferred)
Experience:
Scrum: 5 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
PMP (Required)
