As a member of the Product Management team, our Product Managers plays a key role in the continued success of the Common Application system.
This individual will collaborate with key internal and external constituents to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business processes, user needs, and organizational goals that the Common App supports.
The Product Manager will help to define and manage the product roadmap, manage the backlog for assigned product area(s), and collaborate closely with team members in design, development, and quality assurance roles to ensure the successful definition, development, and roll-out of changes to the Common App and/or new products.
This individual will play an important role ensuring the successful launch and adoption of Common App solutions.
Requirements
Candidates for this role will possess a bachelors degree, or higher, with at least 2-3 years of successful, progressive experience in a product management or related position working closely with modern web-based software solutions.
Individuals must exhibit strong organizational, communication and presentation skills, demonstrated ability to operate effectively and productively in a matrixed team environment, and self-guided initiative.
Candidates with the ability to recommend specific, fact-based, product plans and features to address challenges and resolve tensions among competing priorities for software capabilities are desired.
Additionally, the ideal candidates will have experience writing software requirements, stories, and documentation.
Common App is a virtual environment, individuals must work effectively as an individual and team member in a highly collaborative, diverse, virtual environment.
Experience in higher education enrollment management is a plus.
