Job Description
About the team
The Portfolio management team works closely with leaders and stakeholders across technology, security, product, finance, and compliance to ensure technology related capital investments meet their delivery targets and financial goals.
This Portfolio Manager would support the US Bank Credit Card division.
What you'll do
The Portfolio Manager understands key business objectives and strategy of the product and works with agile team leads in meeting business objectives, OKRs (objectives and key results), customer needs, KPIs (key performance indicators), and financial targets.
Ensures end-to-alignment of the portfolio of business priorities to financial targets by collaborating and relaying dependencies within and across Product Owners in the Portfolio(s).
Oversee the development and production of portfolio management reporting to leaders, business partners and teams in collaboration with product owners and managers.
Serves as a POC throughout the portfolio management process to ensure decisions are in line with company strategic and financial goals on an ongoing basis, working with cross functional product teams using Agile best practices.
Responsibilities
Managing a portfolio of IT specific products of medium complexity and large scope.
Providing financial management and resource allocation support, and understanding the product goals and trends, software development methodology, and technology modernization goals.
Partner with Engineering and Product teams to identify trade-offs to maximize the benefit targets of projects.
Managing third party vendor relationships and facilitating the contracts process
Ensuring compliance with U.S.
Bank processes
Collaboration with business line and IT finance areas.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Eight or more years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
Leading and driving technology investments (programs) through ideation, sizing (costs and benefits), approval, and management
Ability to manage products of high complexity and/or scope.
Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance
Ability to handle and succeed with ambiguity.
Ability to communicate with all parties involved in the portfolio of products (programmers, third party vendors, end users, etc.)
Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with a group of high performing, technical individuals.
Ability to effectively drive results in a geographically dispersed team environment
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Financial management experience
Vendor management experience
Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Hands on knowledge and experience with MS Excel, MS Power Point, Version One or JIRA, and Clarity.
