RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client, a leading international CPA firm seeks Tax Manger for Long Island, NY office.
Responsibilities: Recognize, anticipate, and resolve tax issues and make recommendations that will be beneficial to clients communicate with the IRS, and applicable state and local authorities on behalf of clients’ tax matters Serve as a representative of clients for any possible tax-related audit Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of individual, partnership, and corporate tax planning, consulting, and compliance activities Review client tax provisions Research issues involved in federal, state and local tax planning projects that impact clients Conduct tax research using CCH, RIA, BNA and any applicable tax-related software programs Supervise work of tax staff and tax seniors assigned to client engagements Review and maintain engagement budgets throughout assignments Keep firm partners updated on status of all client engagements Develop and maintain solid client relationships at all times Participate and be proactive on client business proposals Stay current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impacts on clients’ business Job Requirements:REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or a Business-related field of study Advanced Tax degrees (MST, LLM, JD) are preferred CPA and or EA 5-10 years of progressive tax experience in a public accounting firm Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously and supervising tax staff professionals Working knowledge of fiduciary and estate tax planning, compliance, analysis and research Advanced experience with with High Net Worth Individual (HNWI) clients and their related entities, businesses, & families tax matters Proficiency with CCH and other tax-related software and technology programs Ability to meet client demands on time and within budget Excellent communication and leadership skills Excellent research, presentation and writing skills Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
