The Product Manager, Technical in T-Mobile’s Product & Technology group will partner with internal stakeholders and leadership to understand the business and technology landscape for Accounting and creatively define solutions in support of new business capabilities, alleviating customer experience pain points and improving architecture.
The Product Manager, Technical will own Accounting technology products and create and manage product vision, strategy and roadmap, design, and lead cross functional teams to deliver high quality products.
This role will be adept in balancing technical knowledge and business acumen, possess great leadership, management, communication and people skills.Responsibilities PartnershipActs as primary point of contact for intake process to DevOps technology teamsPartners with business and stakeholders to understand current customer experiences, identifies areas of opportunity, ideate on reporting and analytics, create and manage product vision and roadmapInforms and evangelizes a strong customer focus that aligns decision making with IT investment choices and prioritizationPartner with stakeholders and development teams to create and communicate release schedule.Communicate effectively with positive impact; expresses ideas clearly in documents and written communicationsFacilitate the discussion of conflicting issues between individuals and across groups TechnologyWorks with business day-to-day to identify and articulate initiative scope, benefits and ROIManages the “big picture” of challenges impacting the customer experience, including the technical, functional, process, and accounting policy considerations, and creatively defines and designs solutions to those challengesDevelops and maintains current understanding of tech trends.Develops and communicates a point of view on complex technical topics.
Align multiple domains, both technical and nontechnical, on this common visionContributes to functional and technical design of solutions supporting customer roadmapCollaborates with Architecture and Dev teams to ensure technical debt and long-term technical investment is factored into roadmapManages capacity/work planning for broader functional and technical teamsDevise and execute plans for collecting and managing metrics for product and customer experience growthDevelop executive level materials for articulating product visions, capability maps, and lead discussions to influence leadership prioritization ProductOwns the product(s) end to end as well as roadmap at the technology/functional levelLeads and manage product backlog and priorities with our business and technology partnersLeads product backlog grooming sessions partnering with key resources, , typically maintaining 2 iterations (Sprints) worth user storiesContributes significantly to big room planning sessions to define overall Product & Technology capacity and prioritization for the quarterAssesses how new trends impact the roadmap or create opportunity for innovation of the product.Qualifications Experience and education requirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fieldExperience working in agile scrum development methodologies and toolsMinimum of 3 years’ experience in hands on technical role writing code, solution engineering, or technical architectureMinimum of 5 years of work experience in relevant product management or systems analyst experience in agile software product development environmentAdditional requirementsAbility to understand complicated Accounting concepts and how business requirements are solutioned in our technology productsExperience working in a technical or analyst role on Aptitude suite of productsComfortable running workshops and leading discussions with executivesProven interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsFluent with SQL, Tableau, PowerBI or other analytical solutionsTelco industry knowledgeWorking knowledge of Agile, Dev Ops , CI/CD and traditional SDLC methodologiesProven ability to make sound, fact-based decisions and recommendations.Proven ability to plan and manage multiple projects while meeting set deadlines of team deliverables.Proven ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.Company Profile As America’s Un-carrier, T-Mobile USA, Inc.
