Job Purpose

Modular’s Mining Solutions team is responsible for defining the strategy for integrating our technology, equipment, digital services, and consulting into holistic solutions. As part of Modular’s Mining Solutions team, you will be responsible for bringing together Komatsu’s various offerings in the sustainability domain into a comprehensive ecosystem. You will work closely with the Customer Success team and the regions to implement these holistic solutions as part of ongoing customer programs. You’ll be tackling tough challenges that require innovative out-of-the-box thinking, an understanding of our customer’s business and operating environment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make sound business decisions. Job Duties and Responsibilities

Each day will present you with new challenges and opportunities to test and grow your skills. As a Solutions Manager with Modular Mining, you’ll be responsible for:

Developing framework for holistic Sustainability Solutions delivery across Komatsu
Consolidating capabilities to reduce the environmental footprint of mining processes through reduced energy consumption and carbon emissions and creating new ways of tracking this information and generating insights for improvement opportunities
Building and communicating the business plan for sustainability solutions
Establishing common, standardized Komatsu nomenclature, processes, and systems for managing Sustainability Solutions and a holistic strategy that combines our technology products, equipment products, and related services into complete solutions
Working closely with the Partner Success team to scout for and pursue partnership opportunities related to Sustainability Solutions and building these partnerships into the strategy and programs
Tracking value created for the customer and Komatsu across all CI activities/programs and defining relevant KPIs
Establishing Komatsu as a mining expert/partner through published works and participating in industry trade association
Establishing Marketing and Commercial Guidelines for Sustainability Solutions
Define the Solution and associated Value Propositions
Providing guidelines on pricing and margins (work with OTM commercial groups to define this)
Developing standard Komatsu marketing materials and sales support tools
Being the authority across Komatsu on Sustainability Solutions
Being involved with all Sustainability Solution projects to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer
Being a collaborative, connection across the Komatsu family to drive transparency, collaboration, and sharing
Travel Requirements

Approximately 30% of travel will be required for this position

Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, marketing, or IT related discipline required
Mining Engineering or extensive experience in mining is a plus
MBA Preferred
Must have excellent communication and public speaking skills with an ability to demonstrate confidence in material knowledge. Ability to speak Spanish, or other relevant language preferred
Must have the ability to effectively influence, mentor, and educate both internal and external stakeholders in a variety of cultures
Skills and experience in developing and communicating robust business plans with demonstrated success
Desired Skills

Demonstrated ability to develop and effectively communicate value propositions and sales enablement tools
Previous product experience preferred
Experience in sustainable mining technology and services
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to gain consensus across complex organizations
Demonstrated ability to build and manage programs (products or services)
Strong commercial skillset (packaging and pricing multiple products into a single solution)
