Raytheon Technologies has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Principal Subcontract Specialist to be responsible for end-to-end (aka cradle-to-grave) subcontract management supporting new product introductions (NPI).

Some areas of responsibilities include strategic sourcing, supplier development and performance management (emphasis in scope, cost, and schedule), establishment of complex business agreements and management of complex and/or high dollar subcontracts in support of various development programs.

These programs will fall under a mission area called Advanced Technologies.

This position may telecommute at management discretion.

Overall, Senior Principal Subcontract Specialist is accountable for supplier performance.

Raytheon Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM)’s subcontracting organization is set up to have an integrated team (SCM/Engineering) to manage key suppliers for their overall performance.

Responsible for managing their Supplier’s critical path in support of key program milestones.

Coordinates with the Program IPT and Engineering to oversee supplier risk, performance and improvement.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Preparation and issuance of solicitations (mostly RFPs, with some RFQ and RFIs) * Understand and be able to work with certified cost and pricing data during the proposal and subcontract phases of the procurement life cycle * Analyze proposals to perform cost analysis techniques and thoroughly understand elements of cost * Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms & Conditions) * Issuing purchase orders, with emphasis in cost-reimbursable contracts (i.e.

Time and Material, Cost Plus) * Where applicable, establish strategic agreements with key suppliers * Place subcontracts/purchase orders of medium/high complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFAR) and corporate compliance requirements * Maintain strong and professional business relationships with first tier subcontractors * Work closely with the Program and other functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, etc) to obtain quality, compliant hardware on-time, with a focus on Affordability * Develop plans to promote cost reduction initiatives and performance improvements (technical and quality) to drive flawless supplier execution for RMS programs.

Required Skills: * Bachelors degree in supply chain, engineering, business, finance, or related field is required * At least 8 years experience in supply chain management or similar role * Experience managing complex subcontracts * Experience with complex or high-value negotiations * Experience in performing price or cost analysis * Experience/Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) or relevant contracting regulations (e.g.

UCC) * This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

Except in rare circumstances, only U.S.

citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Desired Skills: * Masters Degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field * Understanding of the elements of cost * Strong working knowledge of the subcontract lifecycle management (cradle to grave) * Strong working knowledge of managing cost-reimbursable contracts * Experience supporting business and functional deliverables * Experience working collaboratively in a team-based setting * Project planning and management skills(ex: MS Project, EVMS) * Capability to manage multiple and often conflicting priorities * Ability to filter information from multiple sources to drive innovative solutions * The ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with internal and external customers * Procurement or other experience in a DoD environment (FAR/DFAR) * Working in a SAP based environment Required Education (including Major): * Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar is required 175629 Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
