JOB TITLE: Supervisor, Payment Processing
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Payment Processing
JOB SUMMARY:
The Supervisor, Payment Processing will oversee the team in all aspects of applying Accounts Receivable receipts to outstanding invoices. The receipts are either EFT, check or Credit Card. In some instances, the payments will come in via Credit Card. This role will assign the daily deposits to the team and ensure they are applying the payments in a timely and efficient manner. The Supervisor will also manage any payments put on account to make sure they are applied correctly. In addition, they will be responsible for all daily, weekly and monthly reporting and reconciliations.
Job Requirements:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible to ensure all AR payments are applied timely
- Responsible to reconcile all bank to book posting of receipts
- Responsible to ensure cash application posting errors are resolved, corrected and applied
- Responsible to ensure and assist cash application research is completed in a timely basis
- Responsible to oversee the refund process
- Work with Wells Fargo Receivable Manager to increase auto application of payments
- Continue to look for system enhancements to increase auto application of payments
- Ensure all weekly, monthly reporting and reconciliations are completed timely
- Ensure monthly metrics are completed
- Assist schools to set up EFT process and move from checks
- Assist in writing and updating Cash Application procedures
- Continue to train staff to become more efficient with current process and any new enhancements
- Test any new enhancements
- Additional responsibilities as required

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years’ experience in Cash Applications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proficient in all Microsoft Products, strong proficiency in Excel
- Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- PeopleSoft experience preferred
- Wells Fargo Receivable Manager experience preferred
