Student Transportation of America: Assistant Terminal Manager – Macungie, Pa

Assistant Terminal Manager This is a salaried, exempt position reporting to the Terminal Manager.

Duties: Assist with the overall day-to-day operations of the location (approximately 100 daily routes in Lehigh)County; Assist with payroll, daily route staffing, driver training and recruitment; Foster relations with school district administration, parents, and the community served; Responsible for carrying out all STA policies, State and Federal regulations and maintaining driver files; Backup support for A/P and disciplinary policies; On occasion, may be required to drive; All other duties as assigned Qualifications: Current CDL, with P and S endorsements, or a willingness to attain such within first six months of employment; 2 years of transportation industry leadership experience (school bus preferred); Payroll experience preferred; 2 4 year business degree, or the equivalent Knowledge and Skills: Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills; Strong decision making and situational analysis skills; Proficiency with MS Office applications; Knowledge of Federal and State DOT regulations; Able to conduct oneselfprofessionally and in a manner to reflect positively on STA; Highly driven to serve the community with safety as the top priority; Motivated to seek upward development opportunities within the company
