Senior Program Manager-Manufacturing Strategy.
The role:.
AMD is searching for a strong program manager with experience in semiconductor engineering and manufacturing to play a meaningful role in our newly formed manufacturing strategy organization.
The organizational mission is to transform our approach to global operations through cross-functional initiatives and contribute by supporting company growth..
Key responsibilities:.
Responsible for driving activities in support of building and implementing a robust manufacturing strategy..
Work with the functions within Global Operations to develop and align on long term strategy plans.
Support enablement of long-term capabilities and capacity at key manufacturing partners.
Identify disconnects, evaluate options, and make recommendations to address gaps.
Partner with Product, Packaging, Silicon, and Hardware Engineering functions to align on technology capability Roadmaps.
Work with Procurement and Supply Chain to identify supplier capabilities and develop long term plans to expand capacity and drive cost.
Preferred Experience:.
Prior, preferably recent, experience working within the Semiconductor industry blending both engineering expertise with team management skills.
Experience in leading sophisticated, interrelated ASIC projects, programs, and functions; solid understanding across multiple engineering fields is helpful.
Horizontal leadership/Matrix management experience.
Experience with program management tools and processes.
Excellent verbal communication and written, presentation skills..
Preferably 10 years of proven experience.
Academic Credentials:.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering required..
