Position Overview
The Senior Director of Total Rewards plays a key role in developing and implementing the company’s compensation and benefits strategies as well as the stewardship of all health & wellness programs.
This role is responsible for the delivery of seamless, high quality Center of Excellence services to the organization in partnership with the shared HR Services team and to ensure effective design, launch, and delivery of programs to employees in a way that enhances the employee experience.

Description
In partnership with the VP, Total Rewards, create and drive a total rewards strategy that supports building an engaged talented and diverse workforce of top talent in support of the strategic growth plan.
Develop innovative communication plans to ensure employees have a clear understanding of the company’s benefits and wellness offerings; acts as a champion of wellness programs and organizes wellness fairs, campaigns, and other activities to drive participation and awareness.
Conduct plan analysis, program benchmarking and reporting of benefit and compensation programs.
Support the development and integration of new and/or existing rewards programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that programs are market competitive, internally equitable, and cost effective.
Develop and maintain relationships with a cross functional group of strategic internal partners, retaining a strong customer-focused mindset while ensuring adherence to policies and service delivery.
Foster a team culture that embraces innovation, continuous improvement, and change.
Provide leadership in the design, delivery, and oversight of compensation plans including base salary-, short
– and long-term incentive, and sales compensation programs.
Anticipate stakeholder concerns and drive change management efforts through the identification and mitigation of potential risks.
Provide ongoing analytics to senior leadership that assess plan effectiveness and alignment with business objectives and results.
Partners with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation and job evaluation including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related challenges.
Work with leadership to conduct market surveys, gathers market intelligence, and continue to refine salary structures.
Manage the annual salary planning process in partnership with Talent & Organizational Development Teams and HR Technology teams.
Develop techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data to inform management and guide short
– and long-term planning.
Partner with the HR team to develop effective communication strategies to convey the value of our total reward programs to employees.
Keep apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations to ensure company compliance and establishes appropriate.
Partner with Finance, Legal and Human Resources Shared Services and Centers of Excellence to develop highly efficient operational processes.

Skills
Specialized Knowledge: Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security rules, and all applicable regulations.
Strong and effective vendor management skills.
Special Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects within prescribed deadlines; Strong leader with the ability to interact and influence others; Analytical thinker with the ability to conduct research, analyze data and solve complex problems; Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively work across levels, and functions; Ability to embody high integrity and ethics when dealing with sensitive information.
Other: Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Years Of Experience
Union and multi-state experience preferred.
Experience in Food Distribution/Wholesalers preferred.
