Company Overview MYR Energy Services, a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc, serves customers participating in nationwide engineer-procure-construct (EPC), larger transmission and substation construction projects, and renewable energy project delivery.
Customers are served through local operating companies or newly established offices for specific projects.
MYRE also provides EPC contracting services for renewable and solar energy facilities throughout the U.S.
including permitting, energy storage, complete solar facilities, and substation and transmission line interconnections.
Position Summary The Solar Lean Ops Supervisor works to ensure that MYR employees uphold the core values of safety, quality, and productivity improvement by implementing and maintaining Quality and Lean programs.
The Solar Lean Ops Supervisor will develop positive professional relationships while working closely with field personnel, all levels of management and outside agencies during all phases of construction.
This will be a full-time field position which will be assigned to solar projects throughout the country, requiring travel.
This position does not require permanent relocation.
Essential Functions
Coordinate with project leadership team to build a lean culture by engaging and empowering the craft Create a system for strengthening safety, quality, productivity, and lean culture to include: Participate and interact in daily Stretch and Bend Provide formal training for Lean work practices Posting of various Quality and Lean communications Coordinate the idea card (and combined safety suggestion) system to be implemented on every site Coordinate and conduct daily field visits of all crews to observe the work Listen to the craft Engage with the crew, and Act upon the conversation to empower the crews to own the site Lean culture Document and communicate field visit information, including improvement suggestions Coordinate other supplemental inspections whenever new processes, equipment, substances, or previously unrecognized quality or lean issues are found to be present Review and/or lead a root cause analysis and manage countermeasures for all injury and illness investigation reports, quality, and/or productivity issues Verify that countermeasures are completed, including recommendations of various agencies, customers leadership, committees, and/or other quality/lean consultants Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards, if applicable.

Skills/Qualifications: Minimum two years of experience implementing Lean tools is required Strong knowledge and understanding of TPS or other industry-related Lean applications desired Be a team player and take ownership Experience in Solar field implementation desired Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree Technical undergraduate degree preferred Lean credentials (i.e.
