Senior Project Manager Engineering – ENG001405
Please Note: This role can be based in Knoxville – TN, Cedar Rapids – IA, Tulsa – OK, or Madison – WI or the Chicagoland area.
Using a professional project management skill set, the project manager will lead scope, schedule, budget & quality for projects such as new cellsite construction, large scale multi-functional projects which deploy new technology as well as construction of MTSOs (mobile telephone switching offices). Provides team leadership, promotes team culture and leads all aspects of the work of the Engineering Project Managers as necessary. Holds responsibility for meeting project timeline, budget and quality objectives!
- Run site construction and connectivity, ensuring appropriate distribution of workload across the construction process. Including lease negotiation, public relations, zoning, permitting, and planning activities necessary to start cell site construction
- Leads planning efforts and handles large-scale and multi-functional projects from initiation to closure in the areas of new technology deployment, MTSO infrastructure upgrades and cell site conversions.
- Ensure that planned site modifications (microwave overbuilds, tower analysis, channel adds, sectorizations, etc.) are completed to grow network, improve network reliability and/or quality.
- Responsible for handling capital and expense budgets including forecasting, cost to complete, and budget management facilitation associated with all assigned projects.
- Ensure all regulatory and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance before and after projects are completed
- Handle external vendors and resources including general contractors and other contractors as appropriate including site development firm, NEPA (National Environment Policy Act)/SHPO (State Historical Preservation Office) vendors, RAN Vendors, tower crews, deployment vendors, etc.
- Provide experienced consultation to peer and multi-functional teams as a proficient and educators of our tools and system
- Provide team leadership and promote multi-functional/cross regional involvement and engagement. Lead multi-functional and cross regional teams and groups.
- Observe and make recommendations for streamlining and continuous improvement with tools, workflow and processes
- Identifying roadblocks and risks associated with network management and communicate with leadership team
- Serve as a key influencer and motivator in helping people achieve their potential.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and 7 years of Project Management experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and good presentation skills required.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple priorities and the ability to travel
Project Management certification (PMP) and prior experience in the construction of communication networks preferred. Prior experience with zoning and planning is also helpful.
