Job Summary:
As a Senior Program Director in our Day Services for Adults with Developmental Disabilities, you will have an opportunity to lead a group of direct care staff and managers to provide meaningful and engaging supports to our members.
This role has administrative, clinical, supervisory, and mentoring personalities.
We are looking for someone who can collaborate within an interdisciplinary team of stakeholders and keep the person center mission at the forefront.
Adaptability to address the changing needs of our members and provide advocacy for this change is essential in this role.
We are a face paced environment servicing over 200 people each day and motivation to make an impact on others is our goal.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervision direct care staff and program management.
Act as a mentor to our staff and collaborate with all members of the management team.
Essential Functions of Position:
Provides supervision to staff and managers Coordinates clinical, personnel and routine management concerns in program.
Conducts program planning and development activities.
Evaluates work performance of supervisees as specified by agency personnel policies and standards of clinical practice in addictions, behavior management, psychiatric, treatment and rehabilitation.
Ensures the development and implementation of service and support plans.
Ensures that services are culturally sensitive and responsive.
Develop and monitor all administrative, programmatic and clinical services for program.
Assists in the development of in-service trainings for all staff.
Develop daily schedules of activities.
Supervise and Maintain communication with program consultants.
Maintain compliance to our funding sources through accurate documentation and record keeping, as well billing.
Provides emergency back-up to program staff on a regularly scheduled basis.
Participates in inter agency committees and information sharing meetings.
Maintains ongoing communication with relevant state agency staff (i.e.
natural service area, and DPH and licensing) in a positive and professional manner.
Attends meetings with state agencies.
Ensures that programs are in compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws.
Oversees the hiring and termination of direct care staff.
Supervise and train assigned program staff to develop and use skills including therapeutic supports, curriculum development, leading program activities, reporting, data collection, and implementation of Service Plan goals and objectives; schedule staff for out of program training as needed to meet training needs.
Manage referral and admissions for assigned groups within program, including completion of pre-admission documentation, setting up records, conduct and submission of Severity profile.
Perform assessments of development and functional skills of Day Hab program participants.
Facilitate meetings with program participants to develop goals and objectives and promote the development of self-determination and decision-making skills.
Lead team meetings including interdisciplinary meetings, manager meeting, all staff meetings, etc.
Document meeting minutes and supervision Perform direct care duties as needed to ensure staffing ratios and physical needs for program participants are met.
Ensure that clients’ rights are fully respected, and that they are consistently treated respectfully, in a way that enhances their personal control over services provided by the program on their behalf, and that supports clients’ taking control and responsibility for their own development and mastery of skills to live as independently as possible Maintain good working relationships with collaborating programs and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
B.A.
degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or a related field.
B.A.
may be waived under certain circumstances based on experienced.
At least 2 years of Supervisory and leadership experience.
Experience in the healthcare or human service sector is preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
Use of personal cellular telephone for work communication.
