Senior Portfolio Development Manager

M12 is Microsoft’s venture capital fund, investing in high-growth startups around the world.

T he Portfolio Development team at M12 aim s to provide our portfolio companies with growth opportunities and unparalleled access to Microsoft’s ecosystem.

It is also our mission to help Microsoft bring external innovation to products and customers by partnering closely with M12 companies.

In this role, you will be part of a small team responsible for driving business development for our fast-growing portfolio of startups .

You’ll identify, develop, and execute on business strategy initiatives and programs with a focus on delivering joint commitment and mutual success for Microsoft and our portfolio.

As a Portfolio Development Manager, you will use your experiences to help our portfolio companies leverage the full range of Microsoft assets and ecosystem resources to accelerate their growth.

This will be accomplished by developing a deep understanding of the portfolio companies‘ needs, and then aligning those needs to Microsoft’s strategic initiatives, internal product teams, and customer priorities.

You will work day in and day out as an extension of our companies on topics ranging from channel strategy and product development to marketing and talent planning.

Our team forms deep relationships with our founders and executive teams to help them in their journey.

T his is an incredibly important function as successful execution is what will help distinguish our team from other venture funds and corporate investors.

T h is role will be specifically focus ed on supporting M12’s existing and future portfoli o companies in the cybersecurity space .

This include s using your knowledge of the cyber security ecosystem and Microsoft’s solutions to collaborat e with teams at M12 on industry projects and build impactful partnerships with our security portfolio.

This is a full-time position in our Seattle offic e located in South Lake Union .

W e are also accepting remote applicants .

This role typically require s 10% travel.
