Grow. with us.Who we’re looking forToyota’s Powertrain Division looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Manager to lead Powertrain test facility and systems operations and planning for the needs to support future mobility projects.The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure efficient and reliable powertrain test facility operations, lead Powertrain Division Future Test Facility & Systems Planning, manage Engineering and Technician Teams and coordinate work at powertrain facilities with outside departments/vendors.Reporting to the Group Manager, the person in this role will support the Powertrain Division’s objective to build “World Class Powertrains in North America”.What you’ll be doing* As part of the PT Senior Management Team you will work to help set and build the vision and strategy to deliver NA-sourced PT systems optimized for Performance, Cost, and Quality.* Establish and implement processes to ensure “zero incident” work environment and clear work instructions for standard work.* Build relationships and collaborate with PT testing teams to understand their current and future needs for optimal product development.* Create and lead 5 year plans, including equipment specification, cost justification, project timing and capital requests up to $5M for test facility updates/decommissioning.* Monitor, review and propose new testing technology related to data acquisition and testing environments.* Lead the systems and maintenance teams to ensure efficient workflow and high customer satisfaction.* Lead and develop engineer and technician staff to grow their skills and knowledge through goal setting and feedback.* Mentor staff and Model Toyota Way thinking (TBP, Kaizen, JKK, TPS).* Establish and maintain business continuity plans.* Create and follow preventative and predictive maintenance plans.What you bring* Associates degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology or Business Management* Leading and motivating teams who provide service to demanding customers* Experience managing capital projects up to $1M* Applied expertise in one of the following areas:* Installation, use, inspection and repair of vehicle tailpipe emission measurement equipment from AVL or Horiba including PM, FTIR, mini dilute and PEMS* Project management of dynamometer test facilities including specification, installation, commissioning and correlation testing for engine, transmission and chassis dyno’s including environmental control systems* Managing facilities for vehicle testing including all maintenance and upgrade functions for fuel systems, dynamometers, emission analyzers, data acquisition equipment, HVAC and consumable supplies. including all maintenance and upgrade functions* History of safety, quality and productivity improvements with people and operations.
