In this job, you will lead a team of 6–8 advisors and financial analysts whose primary responsibility is to ensure the quality and consistency of capital investment business cases prepared for decision-making by SCE’s Finance & Risk Management Committee.
The team does this by collaborating with teams in SCE’s operating units to develop and review business cases for large capital projects in the Transmission and Distribution (T&D), Generation, Information Technology (IT), and Corporate Real Estate operating units, performing cost-benefit and other ad-hoc financial analyses, and managing SCE’s internal capital investment review and approval process.

• Lead a team of six to eight team members
• Make, recommend, and/or approve employment decisions (e.g., hiring, promotion, appropriate pay, rewards/recognition, succession planning, termination)
• Lead, train, and develop staff by providing timely feedback, coaching, and support Capital project review and approval process
• Manage the review and approval process leading up to SCE’s financial decision-making forum, the Finance & Risk Management Committee (FRM) by providing guidance and direction on business case analysis for capital spending
• Ensure consistency and quality of capital project requests to FRM while ensuring appropriate capital governance
• Regularly interact and coordinate with leaders of other departments, FRM Committee coordinators, department management, and the CFO
• Serve as a trusted financial consultant, identifying and communicating cost information, risks, and analyses and engagement rest of company to ensure justification and documentation of investment decisions.
Financial analyses
• Act as a lead on analytical/technical projects that are more unique and complex and where precedent may not exist

• Bachelor’s degree
• Five (5) or more years of experience with financial Organizationeling/analysis, operations, strategic planning, and/or business strategy
• Five (5) or more years of experience managing, supervising, or leading teams or staff The preferred
• Master’s Degree
• An understanding of the regulated utility business Organizationel, utility financial analyses and revenue requirement Organizationeling, and the regulatory environment
• Excellent problem solving and financial Organizationeling skills
• Effective interpersonal skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience developing material for an executive audience and ability to communicate complex finance issues to senior management
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational skills and sound judgment while working under minimal supervision.
• Ability to integrate work across relevant areas and collaborate with executive and senior management, peers, and other departments to develop identify needs, develop action plans and deliverables, and present results.
