It means the world to us.” By coming to work every day, taking part in changing the world’s energy mix, Vestas employees are making a positive impact on a global scale.Sales/SBU AME/North America ServicesOversees the leadership, management, execution / performance and overall achievement of a large, complex wind turbine service site or multiple wind turbine service sites for 500+ wind turbine generators and an organization of 100+ employees. Individual will work closely with Sr. Leadership team within the Vestas Corporate office.Responsibilities* Guides and directs business unit activities through Regional Site Managers; coaches and mentors Managers; provides leadership in solving service, warranty, customer and other management issues.* Establishes and is accountable for the Americas service site budget and P&L.* Effectively anticipates potential issues, questions assumptions, and identifies opportunities to circumvent delays.* Ensures that regions are staffed appropriately with the appropriate resources.* Ensures all service site employees conform to the organization’s established policies and goals .* Ensures all regional and business service status information is communicated to senior management.* Interacts directly with customers to answer questions, resolve customer relations issues and ensure customer satisfaction.Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent.* 10+ years management experience with maintenance/service as well as customer relations background, preferably in the wind, power or heavy capital equipment industries.* Established ability to work effectively with work groups across the organization.* Solid management experience, including the ability to set and manage large budgets and resources, preferably in large industrial or construction environments.* Good understanding of the financial impact of decisions with respect to budgets, contracts and organization goals .* Solid critical , communication and management skills with a customer service focus.* Proven ability to build customer relationship and effectively negotiate with customers and contractors to resolve disputes.Competencies* Safety – Ensures site level safety practices and protocol are implemented at their sites in alignment with organizational standards and ensures compliance and optimal safety results with a team who demonstrate safe behaviors by everyone, every time, everywhere.* Accountability – Accepts responsibility for own actions and decisions and demonstrates commitment to accomplish work in an ethical, efficient and cost-effective manner.* Communication – Effectively conveys information and expresses thoughts and facts.
