The mission of the Stamps.com IT Program Management team is to ensure efficient and successful implementation of IT projects and initiatives.

Our group steer projects from idea to deployment by providing leadership, organization, transparency, and solutions.

The Senior Manager, IT Program Management will shape the IT infrastructure projects at Stamps.com with creative solutions and enforcement of existing processes.

The role will steer a team of IT Cloud engineers and Network and Security engineers towards the execution of successful, on-time projects from initiation through delivery.

The role will work with various stakeholders including Development program managers, Help Desk, IT Cloud Operations, and other cross-functional groups to define and implement infrastructure solutions or enhancements to existing infrastructure.
The Senior Manager, IT Program Management will work in lock step with the other members of the IT Management staff to provide highly detailed status of your team’s projects and disseminate that information in an objective, transparent fashion to all internal and external stakeholders.

The role will also interact with the Compliance team for remediations to ensure the infrastructure for Stamps.com meets all applicable compliance standards and reports directly to the VP, Information Technology.
This position is eligible for full-time home-based remote work.

Responsibilities
Primary Objectives:

Provide project management (planning, scheduling, reporting, etc.) for IT infrastructure projects and initiatives.
Meet IT infrastructure deployment targets.
Ensure details are handled and urgent matters are managed appropriately.
Define and manage the detailed schedule and can effectively communicate project state at all time
Essential Position Duties
Provide project management (planning, scheduling, reporting, etc.) for IT Infrastructure projects and initiatives
Continuously deliver accurate, refined project schedules, planning documents, performance metrics, and status reports
Manage Infrastructure planning: Drive estimation, work breakdown, and resource allocation.
Work collaboratively and professionally with outside organizations while dealing with organizational complexity and competing priorities.
Maintain an up-to-date functional understanding of the Stamps.com system architecture and apply this knowledge to daily resource management and planning responsibilities.
Meet IT infrastructure deployment targets.
Create and maintain the schedule, drive intermediate deliverables, and ensure project commitments are met.
Define and track weekly work goals, managing engineer’s activities and priorities to meet expectations.
Evaluate and remain accountable for overall team delivery timelines and provide advance awareness of project risk.
Ensure details are handled and chaos is managed appropriately.
Escalate problems, uncertainties, and roadblocks to upper management.
Understand technical issues and escalate issues as needed and drive them to resolution.
Ability to communicate schedule changes and challenges both to management and to the team.
Define and manage the detailed schedule and can effectively communicate project state at all time
Evaluate and remain accountable for overall team delivery timelines and provide advance awareness of project risk.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Review status of projects; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent years’ experience in the software development industry.
Ten or more (10+) years project management experience.
Five or more (5+) years of resource management experience.
Five or more (5+) years’ experience of managing/supervising a team.
PMP® certification preferred.
