Autodesk is looking for an experienced senior manager to help drive and execute on our journey to become a best-in-class corporate FP&A organization.
This role has primary responsibility over company-wide spend planning and forecasting, providing exemplary business unit support and driving transformational initiatives focused on digitization.
The position supports a flexible approach to the work environment, either remote or in one of our local offices in San Francisco, San Rafael or Portland.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking ability, effective communication skills and emotional intelligence in the form of empathy, diplomacy and tact to be able to work effectively with professionals across the entire organization.
Responsibilities
Lead our efforts to continue to drive digitization and automation of spend planning and forecasting processes throughout the FP&A organization (the “Future of Finance”).
Further the adoption of next generation cloud platforms to maximize efficiency and promote an environment of connected financial planning
Drive the annual spend planning process, collaborate effectively with the business units and present outcomes and recommendations to senior executives
Serve as primary business owner of spend forecast models in Anaplan and oversee the consolidated spend forecasting process, developing insights into risks and opportunities within the business and assessing implications to corporate level finance goals and strategies
Guide centralized spend (“non-departmental”) planning and forecasting which approximates $350M annually
Provide strategic direction to the business units around spend forecasting and planning efforts and assist in influencing the bigger-picture implications of their actions and strategies
Partner closely with HR compensation and benefits leadership on the development of executive and broad-based incentive programs, discussing outcomes with the executive team
Drive innovation throughout the corporate FP&A organization including use of predictive planning processes which harness AI/ML techniques, and adoption of PowerBI Dashboards or other automated workflows
Manage a team of finance professionals, promoting professional development and maximizing opportunities for growth among the team
Partner closely with other areas of corporate FP&A including supporting the quarterly earnings process and long-range planning
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (CPA and/or MBA preferred)
10+ years of related finance experience
Prior experience in a high-tech organization with global reach
Proven track-record leading lead a team of high performing finance professionals
Deep financial modeling and problem-solving capabilities
Experience with Anaplan, SAP and Business Objects is preferred
Business acumen is critical
– the ability to understand corporate strategy and relate everything we do to the pursuit of such strategy
