Introduction
The IBM Cloud & Cognitive Applications team is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic Product Manager professional to join our team in growing IBM s Build Partner ecosystem.
The Senior ISV Go to Market (GTM) Product Manager is expected to design, develop, and manage GTM initiatives including products, programs, and benefits with independent software vendors (ISV s), cloud service providers and other business partners to build the breadth of applications and services available on our next generation cloud marketplace platform.
As part of the mission, this Product Manager professional will focus on the invention and iteration of key GTM initiatives to deliver successful business outcomes with ISVs across the journey: join, certify, co-market, and co-sell.
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, the Senior ISV GTM Product Manager will drive end to end ownership of IBM s partner certification programs for ISV Products with IBM s Hybrid Cloud and AI Platform by:Partnering with technical, non-technical roles and cross-functional teams including business development, sales, marketing, and technical experts known as the Hybrid Cloud Build Team to develop a global certification framework
Prioritizing launches based on strategic goals, define requirements, create innovative benefits, and manage the overall certification strategy for ISVs
Identifying and bringing together disparate initiatives and existing programs to deliver a first in class certification experience that delivers value to the partner s business
Certifying ISV products that run on and work with IBM Technologies for effective co-sell with ISVs and end customers
Being a data-driven, analytical decision maker with excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking, are key in this role.
This professional can work with C-Level executives in a complex organizational structure and must be comfortable working in a matrixed organization with ambiguity.
Teaming and building trusted relationships with other service lines and business units within IBM and assigned Partners will be critical to manage the go-to-market strategy.
A broad understanding and experience with open-source applications, containerization platforms and the cloud ecosystem landscape will help the right candidate be successful.
Individual leadership, a strong desire to succeed, and experience building and growing partner programs and products with a track-record of success is required.
If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position ($132,000-$239,000) is based on a full-time schedule.
Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience.
For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
7+ years of building and leading high performing partner programs or products
Successful track record of developing and growing partner products and/or programs in a high-growth technology environment
Direct experience working with or for cloud providers and their partner ecosystems and Independent Software Vendors (ISV)
Professional and technical knowledge, as well as an extensive understanding of industry trends for partner programs and platforms
Strong customer and partner facing presence, with experience in presenting and engaging senior executives
Strong written and verbal communication skills and Project leadership and management skills across multi divisional boundaries (e.g.
Marketing/Sales)
Strong knowledge of related cloud industry solutions
