Senior Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

The ISSM will provide support across the customer’s portfolio, which includes efforts in microelectronics security.

Duties include, but are not limited to:+ Serves as an Information System Security Manager – Level III (IAM-III) support leader, specializing in the management and administration of authorization and accreditation (A&A) package processing.

This position specializes in IA support to multiple classified networks, complex laboratory equipment, security practices, and the application of IA concepts to technology development prototypes.+ Works independently and within a team in the assessment of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the coordination, planning, analysis, development, implementation, and enhancement of information assurance programs, policies, procedures and tools.+ Serves as a team member to the organization’s Authorizing Official IA team in developing, disseminating and ensuring adherence to IA policies, procedures, guidance, and training requirements.

Enforces IA standards and procedures for all phases of hardware and software lifecycle management process, and develops solutions to complex problems.

Candidate must also make proposals for improved IA practices and methodologies.+ Provide administrative management support to the government customer by providing timely responses to IT/IA tasks and requests; and manage internal office IT and IA work tasks.+ Capable of conducting independent research, evaluation and suggestion of recommendations on the acquisition of IA tools and security application software to satisfy the accreditation requirements in support of the organization’s mission and workplace efforts to include methods of conducting non-traditional Cybersecurity Test & Evaluation and Independent Assessments.+ Develops and maintains relationships between Program/Project Management Offices, other DoD Service Laboratories, government customer program staff, and outside organizations to ensure proper communication, development and deployment of information assurance technologies, products, and systems.+ Independently prepare briefing materials, support engineering and development meetings, coordinate security testing events, schedule and support teleconferences and video teleconferences and other administrative support tasks as directed, to include briefing Senior Staff and General Officers+ Coordinate regularly with staff performing similar functions at other government customer locationsDesired Qualifications+ Experience working with Army Special Programs Office.+ Experience working in an organizational Headquarters run by a General Officer/SES.+ Intimate understanding of the Army’s Information Technology (IT) and Information Assurance (IA) processes, procedures, regulations and governance.+ Experience applying IA concepts and practices to rapid development and prototyping projects.+ Experience applying and adapting traditional IA requirements to non-standard projects and solutions.+ DISA eMASS training preferred+ Master’s degreeRequired Skills+ Bachelor’s Degree+ Active Top Secret Clearance+ DoDI 8570 IAM Level III certification (CISSP, CISM, etc.)+ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Required Experience+ 10+ years of cumulative experience in DoD information technology and information assurance practices.+ 5+ year of cumulative experience in Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) package management.+ 5+ years of independent experience in all six steps of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle.+ 3+ years of related experience in Army Information Assurance processes and procedures.+ Extensive experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and/or Xacta solutions.+ Experience with using security vulnerability and scanning tools (Retina, ACAS, Nessus, etc).+ Familiarity with industry information assurance policies and procedures (NIST SP 800-171, 800-37, NISPOM, etc.)+ Experience working both independently and as a team to accomplish short notice, high priority tasks directed by senior leadership.+ Experience applying problem solving techniques to complex government problems related to adapting enterprise solutions to tactical systems and devices.
