Senior HR Manager – Happy Returns

We are seeking a seasoned and results-oriented senior HR manager to serve as a business partner and hands-on operational HR leader for Happy Returns, a PayPal company.

Happy Returns provides a seamless system of technology, service, and logistics that gives shoppers the frictionless returns they want and retailers the low-cost and efficient service they require.

Happy Returns operates a national network of Return Bar® locations staffed by friendly, well-trained Returnista® return specialists located in premier shopping centers, national and regional store networks, independent boutiques, and other convenient spots.

Based in Van Nuys, California, this role will be accountable for leading HR at the site level, partnering with site leaders and aligned HR functional leads on planning and delivering a robust talent plan aligned to business objectives.

Reporting to the HR Director, this role will partner closely and have accountability to the site leader of Happy Returns to drive business outcomes and strong employee engagement through the development and implementation of aligned talent strategies.

The role will have HR responsibility and oversight for our operational site in Van Nuys, California.

This role will lead programs at scale, from need identification to implementation, considering the unique needs of our internal customers and in close partnership with the HR Centers of Excellence (Talent & Organizational Development, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Employee Central & Advocacy).

Responsibilities will be broad: leadership consulting on HR matters, people manager coaching & development, performance and talent management, organizational realignment and workforce planning, talent sourcing, hiring & retention strategies, and HR program development and implementation.

This role will be responsible for helping to strengthen the management team of Happy Returns by providing coaching and guidance to people leaders to further develop their leadership capability, impact and capacity.

This role will be responsible for building relationships with managers, employees and site leaders while leasing with the global HR and Legal teams.

The leader will strengthen the management team of Happy Returns by providing coaching and guidance to people leaders to further develop their leadership capability, impact and capacity.

Your responsibilities will be broad: employee relations, talent acquisition, people manager development, site engagement and D&I activities, performance management, organizational realignment and analytics.

Job Description Requirements:

Responsibilities:
Coach managers on individual & team performance and professionalism Partner closely with legal team on routine & complex employee relations issues  Support HR Centers of Excellence (Talent, Total Rewards) in leading local manager training, employee onboarding and site engagement activities Champion of site engagement by partnering with site leaders on culture activity, diversity & inclusion initiatives and solutions to enhance the employee experience Leading recruiting, business reorganizations and restructures Deliver anecdotal and analytical insights Develop and document processes to establish a site HR Business Partner playbook
Experience:
This candidate will have 7+ years of relevant experience.

You don’t need experience in all of the areas above, but you must have strong background in US-employee relations The successful candidate will have experience supporting a large customer operations / customer service center Experience with SalesForce is preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or equivalent experience
