Senior Director, Value & Access – Pricing, New Products, Licensing & Acquisitions

The Senior Director, Value & Access
– Pricing, New Products, Licensing & Acquisitions is a high impact and vital role.

This individual will report to the VP, Value & Access and will lead the Strategic Pricing & Contracting team,, and will serve as the V&A lead for Licensing & Acquisition activities.

This role requires active engagement with senior leaders, cross functional partners and the entire Value & Access team.

The incumbent in this role, as with all other employees, is fully accountable for compliance with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Ipsen activities.

Responsibilities

Pricing & Contracting (Primary Responsibility)

• Lead the Strategic Pricing & Contracting team

• List Price Strategy development & execution for the Ipsen US Portfolio

• Contract Strategy development & execution

• Pricing Committee Chair

• Ensure compliance with business case guidelines for Ipsen Pricing Committee submission

• In collaboration with Finance, ensure accuracy with GTN calculations and government reporting and ensure accurate calculation of contract rebates to be paid to contracted accounts

• Track and report on competitive pricing changes

• Develop new product launch plans related to pricing and contracting strategies

• Conduct business reviews with Senior Management related to pricing and contracting strategies

• Proactively identify opportunities to improve business performance and product access through innovative pricing and contracting strategies, i.e..

Value Based contracting

New Products, Licensing & Acquisitions

• Value & Access Lead for both Ipsen pipeline products and external business development opportunities

• Provide pricing support and assess market access landscape

• Develop expected GTN scenarios

Knowledge, Abilities & Experience

• BS/BA in a related field is required; advanced degree is preferred

• 10+ years of biopharma experience, with a minimum 7 years in Market Access related roles, including pricing and contracting (4+ years preferred)

• Successful people management experience leading multiple direct reports and teams

• Experience partnering with Finance to determine GTN impact of pricing & contract strategy

• Deep healthcare/pharmaceutical knowledge, with an in-depth understanding of the US healthcare system including funding and product flows, reimbursement and access

• Significant experience in, and knowledge of specialty injectable markets with complex science and buy & bill reimbursement

• Demonstrated working knowledge of multiple channels including but not limited to, physician clinics, hospitals, Federal, commercial payers, 340B, the VA, Medicaid, and Medicare

• Demonstrated working knowledge of the impact of pricing and contracting decisions on government price reporting including but not limited to, ASP, AMP, and Medicaid Best Price

• Demonstrated knowledge of current and future government policies and their impact on government & commercial payers, providers, and intermediaries

• Experience in Oncology, Neurology, and/or Rare Diseases preferred, ideally including new product launches

• Ability to work with multiple internal cross-functional teams and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Working within an environment of strict compliance to all appropriate regulatory guidelines to successfully design and execute tactics, programs and tools that achieve business objectives.

• Ability to lead, manage and motivate cross functional teams, without direct supervisory authority.

• Possess strong leadership, business acumen and ability to manage multiple priorities, processes, timelines and expectations of multiple stakeholder groups.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to influence others

• Experience presenting and generating alignment with high level executives on high stakes decisions

• A demonstrated ability to process complex information and summarize it concisely in writing and/or verbally in a professional manner and in a time sensitive environment

• Well organized, highly motivated, innovative, process driven, results oriented; and outstanding oral and written communications skills.

• Demonstrated track record of high performance and producing outstanding results as a team and/or individual contributor

• Proven strong analytical abilities, and the ability to take incomplete information and develop impactful strategies

• Proven advanced analytical modeling skills

• High proficiency with MSOffice including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook

• Willingness/ability to travel including potential international travel
