nn nn Chubb is seeking a Senior Claim Director for our Construction Defect Claim team.  The Construction Defect Team provides specialized claim handling in litigated and non-litigated claims on behalf of some of the largest contractors and construction product manufacturers in the US.

The matters include coverage under commercial general liability, environmental and OCIP/CCIP policies.

nn nn The Senior Claims Director will report to the AVP of Construction Defect.  The Construction Defect AVP claim leader is Robin Kahn.

Construction Defect is part of Chubb Severity North America Claims lead by SVP Severity, Julie Weerth.

nn nn Position Responsibilities : nn Manage claims nationwide; Analyze and address coverage issues timely and accurately under multiple policies.

Ability to develop knowledge of insurance coverage and contracts.

Promptly and properly investigate, document, and contact all knowledgeable parties.

Maintain well documented and articulate file notes.

Evaluate complex damages, liability exposures.

Set accurate and timely reserves.

Direct control of the litigation management process and expenses.

N egotiate cases to an acceptable resolution under moderate supervision.

Present cases and regularly share expertise with colleagues and senior management .

Recognize third party contribution issues and handle as appropriate.

nn Adhere to all statutory regulations and Unfair Claim Practices Acts.

nn nn Qualifications nn nn Qualifications: nn nn 8+ years of experience handling construction defect claims, including OCIPs/CCIPs and products liability a plus and/or nn nn Associate attorney with 5 years litigation experience, insurance coverage practice preferred .

nn nn Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : nn Ability to negotiate and resolve claims.

Ability to deliver high caliber customer claim service to a sophisticated client base.

Organizational skills to manage own claim inventory under moderate supervision.

R egularly, collaborate, share expertise and provide feedback in a team environment.

Must obtain and maintain necessary licenses.

nn Travel will be required.
