GSOC SupervisorJob Title: GSOC SupervisorDepartment: OperationsLocation: South San Francisco, CAEmployment Type: Full Time ExemptThe Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) located in South San Francisco, CA serves as the focal point for 24/7 monitoring and analysis of risks that may affect the operations and assets of a global corporation.

The GSOC provides timely communications and actionable intelligence for company leaders to support the protection of people, infrastructure, and the business.About the position:This position reports directly to the GSOC Manager and directly manages GSOC Operators/Analysts and associated projects.

The GSOC Supervisor acts as the Incident Leader for any business disruption pertaining to the protection of the client’s people, assets, and reputation.

The GSOC Supervisor is expected to perform shift briefings, monitor shift health and training requirements, and support a first level “on-call” during incidents that occur after hours.

The GSOC Supervisor is the subject matter expert in all processes within the GSOC and directly responsible for identifying and reporting areas needing improvement within policies and procedures.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Oversee the operations of the GSOC during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to KPIs and SLAs across all aspects of the operation.Act as an incident commander for business disruptions and crisis management.Review metrics for Alarm and Incident related eventsParticipate in and lead post-incident after action reviews.Identify procedural and technological deficiencies, and propose solutions to GSOC leadership.Work collaboratively with the GSOC and security leadership team to prepare for, respond to, and recover from all incidents and crisis events that may impact the client domestically and internationally.Communicate and disseminate information to key stakeholders using established communication methods and procedures.Take ownership of and ensure completion of assigned position-related projects and documents.Manages their team in accordance with vendor HR policyProvides back-up, support, and rotating on-call function as-neededMaintains records of all necessary incidents and eventsPerforms quality assurance checks on all mass communications issued by the GSOCEnsures their team’s adherence to KPIs and SLAsEffectively manage traveler information and data as requiredThe ideal candidate will have:Experience in leading a teamAt least four years of experience in securityExperience in conducting research/analysisComfortable with a high-tech work environment and constant learning of new tools and innovationsFlexibility to work all shifts, and willingness to assist the team with overtime when neededStrong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.Strong organization and planning skills, with the ability to work in and define ambiguity/gray areas.Strong interpersonal and networking skills with a strong ability to work in a team environment.Able to work under stressful conditions and adhere to tight deadlines.Able to manage multiple streams of work in a fast-paced environment.Above average in computer applications, general understanding of security systems, and general technical aptitude through demonstrated experience.Excellent verbal and communication skills.Think through problems for logical solutions, and remain calm and professional under stress.Strong decision making ability during both crisis and non-crisis situations.Able to work with highly confidential information.Must be able to speak clearly, give direction, and provide guidance to employees and security staff, management, and the client during emergencies.Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of leadershipAble to analyze threats for real time impact to the client operations with the ability to develop and direct mitigation strategiesPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience acting as the lead during an incident or crisis.Experience creating training material and conducting trainingExperience managing programs and personnel.Experience with Google Suite and Jira.Required Skills:Bachelor’s degree in a related field.Valid State Guard Card required.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience working in a 24/7 environmentWhat we can offer:$80,000 annual salary plus a $150 a month commuter stipendA dynamic and challenging environmentThe opportunity to make an impactFree mealsPaid Time OffHealth, Dental, and Vision benefits, plus access to dependent coverage and a variety of other benefits for Full Time employeesEligibility to contribute to a 401k Plan after the first year of employment.Additional Information:Security Industry Specialists, Inc.Private Patrol Operator #PPO 13936Private Investigator #PI 28063
