SBA Special Assets Workout Relationship Manager

This is a Full-time position in Milwaukee, WI posted May 6, 2020.

Administers a portfolio of performing and non-performing loans.

Develops and recommends strategies to maximize recovery, and reduce risk and losses.

Ensures effective restructuring, recovery and charge-off of adversely graded loans.

Works with officials of lending and borrowing institutions to better secure collateral, equity or other assets of the borrower and engages in other activities designed to preserve the loan principal, collect interest as possible or charge-off the loan, if appropriate.

Works with U.S.

SBA to secure recovery proceeds on guaranteed loans through the guaranty purchase process and care and preservation of collateral expense reimbursement.

Responsible for underwriting and recommending to credit approvers a variety of credit action requests such as renewal/extension of loans, forbearance agreements, collateral disposition including foreclosure and liquidations of business personal property, receivership, note sales, settlements, and various other modifications and workout scenarios.

Conducts complete credit analyses including gathering, analyzing and interpreting all types of credit information on existing and prospective customers, such as with addition of guarantors and loan assumptions.

Reviews customer accounts and portfolios in order to identify, evaluate and determine the appropriate course of action on potential credit quality issues in order to maximize credit quality and minimize risk and potential loss to the company.

Responsible for the preparation of compliance reports for internal U.S.

Bank credit compliance and compliance with U.S.

SBA program requirements.

Travel may be required up to 5% of time, to conduct business site inspections, business meetings with customers, collateral inspections, and training as needed.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications
– Bachelors degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience
– Five to seven years of experience in commercial lending and loan services activities Preferred Skills/Experience
– Credit analysis and analytical skills;
– Knowledge of Credit Risk Management;
– Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills;
– Excellent customer service skills to external and internal customers;
– Excellent listening skills and follow through;
– Strong computer literacy and mastery of Microsoft Office software;
– Knowledge of SBAT a plus;
– Willingness and ability to learn appropriate database spreadsheet and other computer programs;
– Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

– Ability to lead and manage projects, prioritize work effectively, and adjust to multiple demands;
– Highly motivated with the ability to work independently, take initiative participate as an effective engaged team member and follow tasks through to completion.
