PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Grow the book of businesses net revenue YOY through Identifing, managing and closing Capacity Services opportunities focused on manufacturers, retailers and distributors
• Develop and build customer relationships at across all decision-maker levels that results not only in an increased share of the customers business but also generates cross selling opportunities that expand their use of Transplace Services
• Represent Transplace’s full portfolio of services that include, truckload, intermodal, LTL, dedicated, collaborative, expedited and related services across North America (US/Canada/Mexico) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS
• Identify, Create, Cultivate, and close new and existing business opportunities through the application of a a thoughtful, organized and strategic sales process
• Research the Business, Decision Maker(s) and Industry to gain an understanding of the industry and the customer’s business needs, Apply the appropriate sales techniques in order to close on these opportunities
• Prepare and present a strategic solution that highlights the value proposition for of the Transplace Solution, i.e.
helping them to meet their Corporate, Financial and Departmental Goals.
• Align Transplace’s extensive network of managed transportation and our vast portfolio of services to fit the transportation network of a particular customer/prospect.
• Apply multi-layer approach to sales activities including, phone calls, on-site meetings, virtual meetings, prospecting, discovery meetings business case development, lead generation, etc.
• Plan and prioritize sales activities and customer contact towards achieving revenue goals
• Maintain complete, timely and accurate records of all opportunities and customer meetings within Transplace’s system of record

• Make a meaningful business impact within six months of joining the Transplace team

• 50% or as needed to close and achieve year over year sales revenue targets.
EXPERIENCE
• 3 years of experience in selling transportation solutions and/or related services to manufacturing, retail and/or distribution companies EDUCATION Bachelors Degree Preferred
