Location North Aurora Depot Description: Retail Account Manager(RAM) plays a key role in the relationship of Alpha Baking to its customers, consumers and clients.
This role will be responsible to grow sales and be active in the creation and execution of the retail strategy across the enterprise.
The Retail Account Manager will also be the primary contact for certain assigned customers as well as new ones and will execute all required functions as it relates to the customer.
Daily activities will be determined by the needs of the business
– such as scheduling/calling upon buyers, negotiating deals, filling out deal forms, visiting retail accounts/routes, communicating with both employees/Independent Distributors and potentially assisting them with displays, resets & communication.
Understanding the needs of the retailer, distributor, employee and consumer are all critical in the success of the role.
This person will report to the Retail Sales Manager but will also collaborate with the retail team.
Therefore, willingness to be a team player and have a positive attitude is a must.
Job Requirements: Key Job Responsibilities (but not limited to) Find new ways and ideas to grow retail sales with the goal of year over year growth with all supported product lines and brands.
Will collaborate with the retail team to develop the promotional and marketing strategy for retail customers and brands.
Will serve as main point of contact for assigned customers and responsible for scheduling/calling upon buyers and decision makers at assigned accounts.
Must negotiate and execute planned promotional and marketing programs with assigned customers (internal and external communication required) and the completion of all required forms for execution (new item, promotional, price changes, etc) Visit retail accounts/routes as needed and communicate clearly and positively with both employees/Independent Distributors.
And as required, assist them with displays, resets and communication when needed.
Follow up on promotional plans and execution by monitoring orders, sales, stale, and/or providing sales history for holidays and other key events.
Understand delivery patterns and the process of SBT to ensure that sales are being maximized across accounts.
Attend weekly strategy and informational meetings with the retail team.
Most meetings will be remote but may on occasion require in person attendance.
Long distance/overnight travel will be very limited but at times required based on customer needs.
Constantly be on the look out for new ‘trends’,ideas and the forthcoming wants/needs of the consumer.
