The VP, Regional Operations will be charged with operational excellence and must lead by example in demonstrating company Culture through all interactions while ensuring operational standards are met and maintained in a fiscally responsible manner.
This includes having a proven track record of managing large scale, regional outside plant construction projects.
The VP will support the EVP of Operations to implement/maintain the Everstream Operating Model, raise levels of performance through effective execution of the operating model, provide shared professional, and support services to support operational performance to meet regional goals.
Additionally, the position will require maintaining senior executive level relationships that promote the continuation and expansion of our network throughout our territory.
They also set, communicate, and monitor the progress of the fully integrated business plan that actively addresses the local market dynamics and drivers.
The Regional Vice President takes action to anticipate and overcome obstacles to success while coordinating efforts and resources to maximize and take personal accountability for operational results.
Primary Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day leadership and management to the regional operations leadership team that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company.
This includes providing direction and coaching to individuals who lead the various departments within the organization.
Full scope of responsibility for regional operation to include, field operations, engineering, permitting, and design.
Responsible for implementing the operational systems and processes that drive the company to achieve and surpass, profitability, cash flow, business goals and objectives, customer and employee satisfaction.
Institutes continuous improvement programs intended to support business growth and scalability.
Responsible for executing against financial and operational goals and assesses organizational effectiveness in meeting these goals through the development, measurement and reporting of KPI’s and operational scorecards.
Provides timely, accurate and complete reports of the operating metrics and is responsible for regular executive and employee communication to report on the effectiveness of the operation to promote strong execution, alignment, and accountability.
Maintain effective relationships with local municipalities and utilities to negotiate appropriate franchise and access agreements.
Responsible for the oversight of contract labor management, including developing consistent scope of work requirements for the Region, assisting with pricing negotiations and providing approvals for contract labor company selection Translate strategic priorities into short-term objectives for the Region Participate in developing and enforcing consistent standardized operating practices for the Region Provide oversight and direction to the field operations including Outside Plant and Inside Plant Teams Understands the market and industry, and has contact with customers in order to ensure all internal and external processes and systems support the vision, mission and position of the company as a market leader.
Represent the company with clients, investors, and business partners, negotiates terms and contracts in support of our operating principles and practices and short and long term needs of the business.
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with representatives of community, customers, employee, and public interest groups.
Provide direction in the hiring, promotion and termination of assigned staff, ensuring company policies are adhered to in all personnel actions.
Direct the development, maintenance and use of standard integration and implementation processes, methodology, and templates.
Ensure alignment with company policies, procedures, and guidelines as well as state and federal regulatory requirements Establish measurable goals and cost savings for key products; track and report success against stated goals.
Identify opportunities within the region and creates improvement action plans to address gaps through people, performance, and process improvements.
Ensure consistent communication of all challenges and needs to EVP Operations, to include systems, processes, and staffing.
Collaborate with the EVP, Operations to develop and implement short and long-range operational objectives, plans, budget, and forecast based on succinct goals and objectives.
Uphold the importance of adhering to all safety practices, ensuring that each member of the team receives the proper safety training and equipment applicable to their position.
Direct, candid presentations to internal and external audiences including employees, Executive Team, Board, and other investors and stakeholders.
Having a clear vision of how to bring Everstream’s core strengths and values to life, and motivating employees with clear conversations on where the company is going and why.
Manage risk and ensure operational process integrity is maintained.
Measure, analyze, and help interpret operational information and prioritize multiple weights and measures to determine and justify appropriate resource allocation.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance existing operational structure and processes ensuring sound internal controls and efficient decision making throughout the organization.
Participate in budget development and monitoring of expenses Generate necessary reports, and respond to data requests Requirements: Ten years proven record of accomplishment of operations management leadership within a telecom / fiber based Ethernet and services solutions related environment.
Experience with utilities and municipalities within region Demonstrated competency in managing vendors and construction companies within region from selection, through construction to delivery of services.
Substantial experience leading the operations performance strategic planning process.
Proven success in managing a regional operation Multi-site management experience Excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Word and project management tools.
Preferred Qualifications: Undergraduate degree preferred but not required.
Industry and vendor specific certifications and training Superior critical thinking, analytical and quantitative abilities, technology and software savvy.
Demonstrated proficiency with project management Embraces and is most effective in a dynamic, creative, entrepreneurial environment Proactive self-starter with “roll up your sleeves” lead by example style with the ability to shift gears when necessary and work autonomously.
Familiarity with industry regulations and quality standards Familiarity (Salesforce.com) is a plus.
