We are looking for a highly-motivated salesperson who can deliver results by providing customers with deep insights into their business.
Unfortunately, relationships are no longer impactful enough and customers are often >50% of the way through the buying cycling when they engage a salesperson.
Winning in todays world requires and more informed selling approach that teaches customers how to think differently about their needs and their customers.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong desire to learn and grow, who has a competitive spirit and is motivated by a challenge.
As a Regional Sales Manager (RSM), this individual will be expected to execute a sales strategy to grow their territory in existing, as well as new accounts, in the healthcare and life science markets.
Target Candidate locations include, but are not limited to: Chicago IL, Cleveland OH, Milwaukee WI, Minneapolis MN, Indianapolis IN Responsibilities:
• Manage and grow existing target accounts, find new ones and win new business.
• Complete all necessary steps from opportunity development, follow up and closing of the sale
• Utilize application knowledge to efficiently process customer information, respond to inquiries and address any customer issues in a timely fashion
• Establish rapport and build impactful relationships with all key decision makers within each target customer (such as Project Managers, System Designers, and Facilities staff)
• Develop solid understanding of project funnels at each customer; project timing, products specified and how our solution can help them solve their problems
• Utilize CRM database to maintain accurate, updated, and organized information on all assigned customers and company leads
• Contact customers as frequently as necessary to meet and surpass sales goals or to ensure prompt follow-up
• Travel to customer locations as required; present company products, services and pricing information in a professional manner QUALIFICATIONS: Critical Success Factors:
• Ability to understand customer needs to present them a thoughtful solution
• Aptitude for selling a technical product and educating customers
• Ability to articulate technical information to electrical and mechanical engineers and end users
• Ability to establish rapport and win business via cold and warm calling
• Portrays company and self well over the phone with a clear and charismatic presence
• Maintains a service-oriented and customer-focused mindset Required Skills/Experience:
• 5 years of sales, engineering, or customer-facing experience selling into the building automation, healthcare or life sciences market
• Foundational knowledge of mechanical, electrical systems, and software based solutions
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Desired Skills/Experience:
• Knowledge and experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical markets
• Foundational knowledge of sensors and transducers
• Engineer savvy; ability to read schematics
• Prior experience utilizing salesforce.com Education:
• Bachelor’s degree; technical degree preferred TRAVEL: 70% travel required for the position
