First Point Group have partnered with a leading telecoms and security company to find a Regional Sales Manager with full sales life cycle experience selling into the intelligence communities.

As the Regional Sales Manager responsibilities will include:

  • Hitting annual and quarterly bookings targets.
  • Using consultative, solution selling, and business development skills.
  • Developing strong relationships, especially working with executives in lines of business.
  • Accurately forecasting through Salesforce and regular forecast commitments.
  • Collaborating with Insides Sales, Systems Engineering, and Product Sales Overlays in qualifying, creating, and executing strategies for current and new customers.
  • Identifying key stakeholders within target accounts, building business and technical champions, and closing business.
  • Developing and maintaining strategic working relationships with assigned clients and understanding each client’s technical and business needs.
  • Driving sales activity within the region and have the sales skills and technical knowledge to make presentations, lead customer discussions, and effectively. communicate the benefits of our client’s solution.
  • Responsibility for driving customer requirements and conveying accounts’ strategic directions.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies needed to successfully exceed revenue goals.

To be successful as the Regional Sales Manger your background and experience will include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university; or equivalent work experience. A master’s degree is a plus but not required.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the technology industry targeting US Government intelligence communities.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding quotas.
  • Solid understanding of the networking market, key players, and ecosystems.
  • Previous experience selling services, hardware and/or software preferred.
  • Solid understanding of digital, RF, wireless, wireline, and general-purpose test & measurement applications.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of the DOD/IC/COCOMs and Civilian markets.
  • Excellent listening, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Salesforce and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to travel (up to 25%).
