Carrier Enterprise seeks a President for the Comfort Products Region. The position will be based in Omaha, Nebraska or Lenexa, Kansas.

Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a leading B2B distributor of residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts and supplies in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. A joint venture between Watsco, Inc. and Carrier Corporation, CE sells, delivers and services Carrier, Bryant and Payne HVAC residential and light commercial products and supplies through independent dealers. Carrier is the world’s leader in high-technology heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the President is accountable for achieving financial goals and objectives and driving profitable sales growth. The President must take the time to communicate with and engage the workforce, communicating results, expectations, etc. This person must lead, not just run the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage, implement and enhance the sales strategy and all of the appropriate programs that drive sales, ensuring that the right management is in place, and that CE has the right sales approach, pricing strategy, and marketing programs.

* Assess the senior management team and the structure of the organization, with a view to ensuring a strong team is in place. Provide coaching and mentoring to strengthen the leadership team’s management abilities.

* Develop, present, and obtain approval from the parent company of a formal, detailed, and well- researched strategic plan for the growth of the division.

* Responsible for the annual financial planning process- develop and implement annual business plans and local strategies, and will manage to monthly, quarterly and annual expense and revenue budgets.

* Evaluate, and make progress against developing and implementing processes, systems, and infrastructure to achieve cost effective and profitable operations.

* Improve the communication within the organization to increase employee engagement and inspire change and inspire change and innovation.

* General management experience in a mid-to-large size distributor that has multiple locations. Experience at this level within a public company is highly desirable.

* Accountable for a P&L of $100+ million, with demonstrated ability to manage the bottom line and meet profitability targets.

* Experience in an organization with strong customer service and responsiveness elements.

* Large account management experience, including experience in contract negotiations; with the ability to devise and negotiate profitable arrangements and contracts.

* Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

* Understands the strategic aspects of logistics and wholesale supply chain issues.

* A vibrant leader who communicates well, leads by example and is able to inspire others to embrace change.

* A critical thinker, with good business acumen.

* Superior judgement, decisive and incisive, able to make the tough calls when necessary.

* Thinks strategically, but is willing to get into the details as necessary to understand the underlying operations of the business.

* Deeply focused on the customer, with high service standards.

* Willing and able to travel as required (25-40%).

Education

* University degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

* MBA desired
