Our business helps support their way of life and contributes to the survival of a culture that has thrived in a challenging environment.Summary:Ramp Service Agent Supervisors are responsible for the overall performance and management oversight of designated Ramp Service Agents. RSA Supervisors also ensure Company policies, processes, safety standards and training are met and adhered to. Other duties as assigned.Essential Duties of RSA Supervisor’sOversee marshalling of aircraft on the ramp (includes directing, assisting and parking all arriving, departing and towed aircraft)Supervise servicing of aircraft as needed including:lavatory servicewater servicecabin cleaningother services as neededProvide overall direction of aircraft de-icing / anti-icingMonitor crew shuttleManager safety during boarding and deplaning, and assist crews in a friendly and courteous mannerDirect loading and unloading of aircraft baggage and cargoProvide safe and efficient operations of all ground service equipmentResponsible for maintaining safety and security of the ramp at all timesObserve safe ground handling procedures and maintenance of ground handling equipment, including the performance of equipment checksMiscellaneous duties as assigned by ManagementQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Be at least 18 years of ageMust be willing to work in inclement weatherGood communication skillsMust be a U.S. citizen or show proof of right to work in the U.S.High School graduate or GEDPossess a valid driver’s licenseAbility to lift 60 pounds comfortablyAble to fluently read, write, speak and understand EnglishFriendly and outgoing personalityAbility to work under stressful situations and tight time constraintsSelf-motivated, team playerRequired to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedulesSuccessfully complete a background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history and pre-employment drug testPreferred Qualifications:Prior Ramp Service experiencePrior experience in Aviation IndustryPhysical Demands:Background position skill ranking areas:Language Skills :Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Write routine reports and correspondence.Speak effectively one-to-one and before groups of customers or employees of the organizationMath skills:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Reasoning Abilities:Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram form.Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Physical Demands: moderate.The RSA Supervisor on occasion may lift or move with help up to 200 pounds, and/or more frequently lift or move 70 to 100 pounds, and constantly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Employees are regularly required to use hands, talk, hear, bend, stoop, kneel, and is frequently required to stand, walk. Employees may be required to climb, sit, and balance.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.The RSA Supervisor is usually working outside and is exposed to all types of weather conditions with a seasonal range of temperatures which include rain, snow, wind and extreme temperatures.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can vary dramatically depending on location and time of day.
