Quality Manager

This is a Full-time position in Elkin, NC posted March 6, 2021.

nnResponsibilities:nn Ensure the organization quality policies and standards are followed: adherence to standards.

Ensure and promote awareness of customer requirements, critical to quality (CTQ), and process capability throughout the organization.

Regularly work with process owners to ensure understanding of customer requirements are met standard: specifications agreed upon.

Regularly monitor and assess CTQ product requirements, control plans, at production areas.

Liaise with external assessment body on all matters related to the external and internal accreditation/certification process.

Work to improve organization’s efficiency and profitability by reducing waste and process variation.

Be THE Liaison between Customer (product/service quality needs), Corporate Teams, Sales, and Plant contributors nnAddress quality requirements (e.g.

selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives, training, corrective action, product design and development) in internal functions/meetings to best represent the needs of the customer and act as an advocate on behalf of the customer.nn nn Job Requirements nn The incumbent must have strong human relations skills, strong oral and written communications skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively supervise subordinates and foster teamwork.

S/he must demonstrate the ability to make good decisions under pressure, to determine when, where and how to take decisive action and to know what course to take when faced with complex issues.

Applicants must be customer-focused, results-driven and be able to analyze quality data and make recommendations for improvemen.

S/he must have experience influencing others and driving change in organizations for continuous improvement efforts.

A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical discipline plus at least three years’ experience in Quality Management or equivalent experience of at least five years successfully managing a department is required.

The incumbent must have technical production knowledge and as such, must have an engineering background and education, as well as substantial training and competency in quality control techniques.

Must be knowledgeable in statistical process control techniques, FMEA, Control Planning, Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R).

Knowledgeable in project management and problem solving skills.

Proficient in the use of computer systems and software.

Preferred Strong knowledge of statistical quality applications, metrology, and manufacturing and quality control standards Must be proficient at an intermediate to advanced level in personal computers and Microsoft Office applications of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
