Project Superintendent

We are currently looking for a qualified individual to step into the fast-paced role of Construction Superintendent.

Must assume a leadership role in managing the daily site operations in operating and closed properties.

The ideal candidate will have 15 years of Retail construction experience and a can-do personality.

This position is currently located in Dallas, TX and has the potential to become a long-term, travel intensive position Responsibilities Manage Subcontractors and Trades in order to meet deadlines and milestones of aggressively paced project schedules Must have strong background knowledge of installation methods of finishes, to include: Wall Preparation for Paint and VWC, Carpet and Vinyl Base, Tile, and Millwork Must work closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers.

Review construction drawings and shop drawings for job feasibility Ensure adherence to strict safety standards ensuring Subcontractors are properly trained and knowledgeable with OSHA and safety related areas Completion of weekly Ownership Project Reports Document status of project with digital photographs on a daily basis Must be able to properly receive purchased materials Prepare change orders as required Responsible for QA and punch list generation with Subcontractors Skills and Experience Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local building codes and safety laws Knowledge of permitting, review and inspection process Ability to monitor and respond to multiple scopes of work occurring simultaneously Ability to forecast scheduling challenges and present possible solutions Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, structural and finish systems as well as building methodology Effective and responsive verbal and written communication skills Required experience: Construction Management and Supervision: 10 years Job Type: Full-time Experience: Retail construction: 10 years (Required)
